BACKGROUND
IUCN Bangladesh Country Office provides technical support to the Community Based Sustainable Management of Tanguar Haor Project of the Ministry of Environment and Forest, Bangladesh. The third phase of the project starts from July 2012 with financial support of the development partner, Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Dhaka.

The project goal is “A Co-management system for the Tanguar Haor Ramsar site is in place and effectively functioning that conserves ecosystem values and services and significantly improves livelihoods of rural communities”.

As a member of the project team, the position is responsible for providing necessary support for smooth implementation of the project. The position is based in Sunamganj, Bangladesh.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Organize and manage weekly meetings and any program related meetings
• Provide agenda and meeting minutes including action items and deadlines
• Prepare and update work schedule
• Participate in meetings and monitor work
• Create an internal file management system for Project Management Office
• Create a system for photo documenting
• Other tasks as designated by the Project Manager
REQUIREMENTS
  • - A master degree (16 years of education) in natural resource management, agriculture, botany, forestry, fishery, aquatic resource development or development studies and brings to this position at least 4 years of experiences in natural resource management.

• - He/she has experience in the relevant fields of natural resource management with special focus on gender and development.
