BACKGROUND
JOB DESCRIPTION
Initially the incumbent will be responsible to work as ‘Dialogue Coordinator’ in Trans-boundary Water Dialogue (TBWD) project and assist Project Manager of the TWD project for overall Project Management, administration and coordinate all the Dialogue Meetings.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

The Programme Officer (NRM) will be responsible for leading, supporting and assisting following tasks:

• Lead in natural resources management, community assessment activities
• Identify and establish link between natural resources including water with sustainable livelihood
• Provide technical assistance to programme/project partners in NRM strategies and plan
• Support to design and implement projects in areas of NRM, governance and empowerment
• Cross programme learning on integrating environment, DRR, food security, water resources, climate change and sustainable livelihoods approaches along with mainstreaming of gender issues
• Conducting site visits of pending and active projects
• Working with and managing external consultants
• Organize and assist with meetings, workshops, presentations and other events
• Assist in ensuring effective and coordinated communication of information between relevant organizations and staff involved in the programme implementation
• Assist in preparation of all reports related to project as per the project document and ensure timely submission.
• Carry out other tasks assigned by, and mutually agreed with the line manager.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Post-graduate degree in environmental science, natural resource management, water resources management, economics, development studies, anthropology, biological sciences,and/or other related subject

• At least 6 years of work experience in related field, multi-disciplinary experience desired

• Experience in writing effective proposals and reports;

• Strong ability to plan, organize, prioritize work, and multi task to meet tight deadlines
