Finance Officer - Financial Services

BACKGROUND:
IUCN Kenya is seeking a high performing and qualified Finance Officer – Financial Services to support the Kenya and Regional Office team with the budgeting, payment procedures and financial reporting in compliance with both donor and IUCN policies and procedures.
The Finance Officer-Financial Services will perform the following duties;
Processing of Purchase invoices and reconciliation of supplier accounts
Posting accounting transactions to ERP Navision every month
Preparation of bank reconciliation statements
dEnsure reconciliation of staff accounts, monthly distribution of personal accounts statements to staff is done every month and balances agree with the Ledger
Ensure that fixed assets register agree with the Ledger, depreciation is charged on a monthly basis and is reconciled to the relevant balance sheet accounts
Management and coordination of the inter-company accounts
Posting of all Inter Company (IC) transactions and reconciling IC suspense account
Post all invoices for income other than project income every month
Process expense claims for cost center related expenses
Reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts and completing monthly NAV checklist
Monthly Payroll reconciliation and staff time analysis
Prepare donor financial reports for assigned projects
Develop capacity of non-finance staff on IUCN & relevant donor financial management guidelines, policies and procedures
Carry out any other duties that may be assigned by supervisors from time to time.

• POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Education; First degree in Accounting, Finance or related field Relevant professional qualification in accounting – CPA, ACCA level II, CIMA preferred. Working Knowledge of use of ERP-Navision. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Work Experience; At least 3years work experience in similar capacity with a recognized regional or international development agency Language Requirements'; Good verbal and written communication skills in English. Knowledge of Kiswahili and another AU/IUCN/Regional language would be an added advantage.
