BACKGROUND
The General Services Unit currently comprises some 7 staff covering building maintenance, reception, conference and meeting room services, security and insurance, office services.

In June 2010 IUCN completed an extension to its Headquarters, resulting in a doubling in the available office space. The building extension incorporates a series of innovative green building techniques and the latest technology in terms of energy efficiency. Parts of the building extension are being leased in order to maximize the use of available space and to generate income. Similarly, conference and meeting room facilities are also be available for rent. The building extension includes a visitors’ centre and a cafeteria which is run by a professional catering company.
JOB DESCRIPTION
FONCTIONS SPECIFIQUES

• Préparation et mise en état des salles de conférence, y compris l’équipement (Room booking system).
• Aménagement des espaces bureau
• Installation de tableaux et autres décorations ;
• Effectuer divers travaux de réparation et de rénovation, tels que travaux de peinture, de menuiserie, réparation électrique, ponçage, etc.
• Nettoyage, notamment lors d’incident ou d’incivilité (vitrage, terrasse, parking, toilettes, etc.);
• Assister à la gestion des déchets ;
• Aide lors de l’entretien du jardin
• Dépannage de l’audio-visuel ou mobilier
• Aide temporaire et sporadique au restaurant, notamment fermer la terrasse
• Remplacements à la réception
• Etre disponible en dehors des heures de bureau lors d’événements.
• Remplacer les différents collaborateurs de l’Unité des Services généraux pour certaines tâches en cas d’absence (vacances, maladie/accident, etc.)
• Effectuer d’autres tâches selon la demande du Chef des Services Généraux.
REQUIREMENTS
  • CFC ou expérience professionnel de 5 ans au minimum.
• Expériences générales dans les domaines suivants : électricité, sanitaire, nettoyage, peinture, maçonnerie, entretien du bâtiment ou manutention.
• Connaissance dans le domaine de la sonorisation et audiovisuel est un avantage
• Expérience dans le domaine de la restauration est également un avantage.
• Bon sens d’organisation et de gestion de temps.
• Ordonné, polyvalent, disponible et flexible.
• Sens de l’initiative, capable d’être autonome et de prendre des décisions.
• Sérieux, motivé et responsable.
• Bonne capacité de communication et sensible à un environnement multiculturel.
• Parlant français, connaissance de l’anglais est un avantage.
• Etre domicilié dans la région est impératif.
SALARY
The gross annual salary for this position is between CHF 50'646 and CHF 63'307, subject to deductions for social security contributions and second-pillar pension, and before tax. While this is an indicative amount effective as of the current date, changes may occur as per IUCN's compensation practices without prior notice. The same applies to other organisations hosted by IUCN.
