Finance Assistant

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Finance Assistant will provide support for Finance and Accounting functions within IUCN Lao PDR Country Office and will report directly to the Finance Officer.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
The position’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1 Accounting:
• Handle the daily petty cash and bank transactions
• Delivery document to banks when required.
• Assist in checking and classifying supporting documents, preparing necessary journal entries and posting into ERP/NAV system.
• Assist in checking the expenditure report from grantees and partners
• Assist in following up pending payments/contracts with relevant staff
• Assist in filing all accounting vouchers
.2 Payroll, Social Security, Tax:
• Assist in tax filing and returning under prevailing law with Tax Department.
• Assist the payment and reconciliation of staff’s Social Security.
3 Inter-office count:
• Assist in monthly reconciliation.
• Assist in preparing debit/credit notes which will be sent to relevant IUCN offices.
• Filing DN and CN.
4 Other Duties:
• Undertake any other tasks assigned by the line manager
• Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting, Banking, Economics, or Business Administration. Finance and/or Accounting with previous experiences is an advantage. • 2 years of experience in a finance or accounting role preferred • Proficient in MS Excel and experience working with ERP systems • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy • Good communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines • Flexibility to perform other tasks as required by IUCN Country Office |
