BACKGROUND
This internship aims to offer students undergoing graduate or post-graduate studies and recent graduates a meaningful work experience by supplementing their learning through a practical and on-the-job training approach. In doing so, the intern’s knowledge is supplemented through a practical learning experience while IUCN derives some level of advantage from the young professional’s services as well as the possibility of gaining new perspectives from the intern.
JOB DESCRIPTION
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Intern, Asia Business and Biodiversity Programme, will assist the Head of Communications, Asia in delivering IUCN Asia’s Business and Biodiversity Programme.


SPECIFIC DUTIES:

• Provide support in the development of the IUCN Asia Business and Biodiversity Programme strategy
• Provide support in coordinating business engagements efforts across the region
• Provide support in drafting communications products for the IUCN Asia Business and Biodiversity Programme
• Update the database of private sector engagements in Asia as needed
• Provide support in conducting due diligence on regional private sector engagements as needed
REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be currently enrolled in a bachelor or advance degree or equivalent qualification in marketing, communications or any business-related studies

• Strong credibility, aptitude and ability for problem solving

• Ability to deliver under pressure/aptitude for number crunching

• Ability to communicate in English

• Comfortable to work in multi-cultural environment

• Willingness to learn is essential
