BACKGROUND
This is a local recruitment. Only Indian nationals, individuals with residence status or the appropriate employment visa for India are eligible to apply. The remuneration and benefits package for this position is established with reference to the local labour market and in line with the IUCN conditions of service for India.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Project Assistant will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Review, update, finalize brochures and booklets related to LfN India,
• Update and maintain the LfN website and social media,
• Support Country Representative/Programme Coordinator in preparing LfFN activity reports and related articles,
• Re-establish contacts with member companies and outreach to new companies for increasing the membership of LfN.,
• In discussions with with member companies and other stakeholders plan/organize Master Class, trainings and conferences, workshops, events, etc. under the programme,
• Support in developing ToRs and contracts of consultants for activities related to LfN when required,
• Maintain records and files relevant to LfN on regular basis,
• Assist Programme Coordinator in preparing draft of ROM and Due Diligence documents for companies that LfN and the B&B unit would be working with,
• Develop and maintain a computerized mailing lists as well as information database on the programme’s principle contacts and email addresses telephone numbers fax etc,
• Carry out field visits under the Business and Biodiversity project(s) as and when indicated,
• Support Country Representativer/Programme Coordinator on IUCN membership related matters
• Carry out any other relevant tasks that may from time to time be indicated by the line manager.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sustainable Development, Natural Resources Management, Communications, Environment Science or Conservation, or a relevant field. An Advanced University Degree in a related area of study highly advantageous.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in providing support to project management and implementation primarily in environment conservation.

• Knowledge of project proposal development and ability to draft reports independently.

• Proficient in using office applications (MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and other web-based management systems.

• Excellent skills in written and spoken English are required.

• Knowledge of the local language (India) is a must.
