BACKGROUND

JOB DESCRIPTION
The IUCN center for Mediterranean cooperation, based in Málaga Spain, is looking for a marine project intern, for supporting in communication activities related with the bycatch project, Understanding Mediterranean multi-taxa “by-catch” of vulnerable species and testing mitigation” as well as for the support to other marine department’s activities.
Activities within this programme will involve preparation of news updates for the website and social media on multispecies bycatch, liasise for the small initiative “for observers on board” communication activities, and assist on the preparation of the Mediterranean sharks meeting to be organized by IUCN.

This position has an internship allowance of 550 € gross per month.
REQUIREMENTS
  • MSc student in communication and/or marine environment

• Good organizational and communication skills

• Curious, autonomous, and having a capacity of analysis of synthesis of texts and technical reports

• Fluent in English and/or French
