Digital Communications Associate

The Digital Communications Associate will be responsible for implementing the SCA Communications Strategy to promote our work and contribute to securing funding for conservation action.
The Digital Communications Associate will report to the Communications and Business Engagement Manager.
• Develop creative ideas for content and engagement;
• Planning, implementing and monitoring SCA’s presence on social media in order to increase reach and quality;
• Copy-write for our websites and all social media channels: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn.
• Develop the monthly social media calendar coordinating with the other IUCN teams;
• Liaise with all grantees to ensure they adhere to communications guidelines and deadlines;
• Monitor social media activities and respond instantly when needed.;
• Measure the performance of digital communications efforts using a variety of Web analytics tools;
• Manage and maintain website and donation platform, including external suppliers. Co-ordinate our technical agencies monitoring SEO and SEM;
• Produce high-quality communications products in a range of formats including reports, publications, brochures, web stories, press releases, videos, newsletter;
• Develop high-quality communication report to communicate the conservation successes results;
• Provide communications support for events;
• Regularly analyze digital KPIs’ results, provide regular reporting and recommendations to improve reach, followers and quality;
• Maintain digital and photography assets archive;
• Support the team in any other ways as required by the job (strategy, business engagement, events…).
• University degree, in communications/marketing/journalism/PR or related field; • Advanced Skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint; • At least two years of relevant experience working at a professional level; • Strong knowledge and competence with the use of digital analytics to inform the development of marketing campaigns; • Mandatory experience in copy-writing at a professional level; • Experience with CMS as well as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and social media best practices; • Working on environmental issues is an asset; • Analytical mindset and critical thinking; • Resourceful; Ability to take initiative, exercise good judgment, think laterally and resolve complex issues in a dynamic and changing environment; • English – fluent; French and Spanish – an advantage; • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills; • Self-driven and able to work independently. |
