PROJECT MANAGEMENT
1. Assist the project manager in successfully implementing all project activates in accordance with the project agreement between the donor (BNH) and following the instructions of the project manager;
2. Assist project manager to maintain communication with donor (BNH), key project stakeholders (MoEFCC, Bangladesh Forest Department, and relevant committees and bodies), as well as volunteers and consultants;
3. Conduct and assist project team in organizing meetings, seminars and training workshops regarding Red List of plants, involving donor, consultants, Assessors, and all other stakeholders;
4. Assist project team to conduct surveys to collect data from the field to assess Data
5. Assist project team and project manager in data analysis and assessment of species to formulate Red List of plants;
6. Assist project manager in editing and overseeing the assessment process of the all species by consultants;
7. Assist project manager in writing Red List books, IAS of plants Management Strategy and articles for the project following set guidelines and procedures of IUCN and donors
8. Assist project manager in writing all project reports and all other committed deliverables are produced, submitted and accepted by the donor (BNH) in a timely manner as per the Agreement;
9. Undertake any other tasks that may be assigned by the Country Representative, the Programme Coordinator of IUCN Bangladesh and project manager, from time to time.
• BSc/MSc in Botany/Zoology/Forestry/ Environmental Science. Experience in the Red List process will be preferred. • 4 years' professional experience in the relevant to the terms of reference. • Excellent presentation, writing and spoken communication skills in English are essential. • International experience will be an added advantage. • Fluency in written and spoken English, computer literacy essential. • Demonstrated experience in Programme Management, Operation Management Cycle and related processes, with knowledge of Results-Based Management are essential. • Computer skills (in MS office) including advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, data management, etc) is important. |
