This initiative involves 14 different organizations from the Mediterranean working through several projects to protect critical habitats for the benefit of fishers and biodiversity, and reduce interactions between fishing and biodiversity. The Partnership project´s main actions are: to promote projects results and site information, to strengthen cooperation and ownership for MAVA partners, to bring long-term regional capitalization of results from projects, to facilitate the emergence of common advocacy messages towards donors community and the identification and facilitation of access to new joint funding.

The project “Enhancing socio-ecological climate change resilience of marine and coastal systems in Lebanon” is implemented in cooperation and led by IUCN Regional Office for West Asia. The IUCN Red List has been assessing the extinction threat faced by species around the world for the last 50 years. It is the most comprehensive information source on the global and regional conservation status of the world’s species.
