BACKGROUND
JOB DESCRIPTION
Tasks And Responsibilities:

• Assisting the Water and Climate Change Programme in the implementation of the projects.
• Assisting with day to day field work and related tasks in coordination with water project coordinators.
• Assisting in administrational and office work related to water and climate change program such as preparing minutes of meeting, organize stakeholder meetings.
• Providing support to the Water and Climate Program seminars, workshops, conferences, where applicable.
• Representing IUCN and network with other organizations on behalf of IUCN, where applicable.
• Performing other related duties as assigned by the line manager
• Attend programme meetings, and assist with general admin duties as required.
• Support in the coordination and communication of project activities
• Liaise with IUCN ROWA’s communication team towards the information and dissemination of the programme’s activities as requested.


Requirements:

• Graduate degree in environmental sciences, Agriculture or a similar field.
• Strong analytical skills, oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated technical writing skills.
• Good knowledge and experience in the use of effective communication tools related to environmental and development issues
• Good knowledge and experience in Water and climate change topics and sustainable development in general.
• Excellent working level of English language in both writing and speaking.
• Good computer skills.
