BACKGROUND
JOB DESCRIPTION
RESPONSIBILITIES

IUCN ROWA is participating in the upcoming congress exhibition with a large pavilion and requires additional support to ensure the smooth planning and execution of the pavilion setup. The intern will assist in various preparatory tasks, coordination, and logistical arrangements to facilitate a successful event.

SPECIFIC TASKS

• Assist in organizing IUCN ROWA pavilion logistics, including space layout, setup, and coordination with vendors.
• Support communication with internal and external stakeholders, including speakers, and service providers.
• Help prepare materials, banners, and promotional content for the pavilion.
• Coordinate schedules and assist in managing event timelines.
• Assist in resolving any on-site challenges in sessions timeline.
• Perform other related tasks as required to ensure a successful pavilion setup

Other Responsibilities:

• Perform and participate in any other tasks that may be assigned by the Line Manager or Regional Director.
• Cover the reception desk when required

REQUIREMENTS:
• Undergraduate university programme, enrolled in a graduate university programme and not have graduated or in a “gap year” between studies
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in Arabic and English.
• Proficient use of MS office (Word, Excel) and IUCN systems.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• Performing any other duties as requested by the line manager
The above job description contains the main duties and responsibilities for this position. However, in a relatively small organization such as IUCN, staff members are expected to show flexibility in their approach to work and be willing to undertake other tasks that are reasonably allocated to them but which are not part of their regular job description. Where any task becomes a regular part of an employee's responsibilities, the job description will be changed in consultation with the employee and the Human Resources Management Group.
